A Church in Trouble!!! Salvation Army Church , S.V.Karai, Tenkasi Division, South Eastern Zone.
Brief peep into the history and tradition of the S. A. Church, S.V. Karai – A.D. 1920
The S.A.Church, S.V.Karai has walked through a long tradition of over 75 + years serving the gospel unto salvation. The humble beginnings were made through the efforts of Mr S. Sargunam Samuel with Mr Sargunam Koil Pillai who wanted the Salvation Army to lead the worship and shepherd the flock. The written records submitted to the Salvation Army through the passing years will bear witness that they had and have been the leading source of inspiration to the Salvation Army and to the work of God in S. A.Church, S.V. Karai .
Rebuilding of the Church by S.A.Church Local Committee – A.D. 2002
The S.A. Church, S.V. Karai needed urgent structural repairs and its financial strength was weak. God spoke to Mr Dharmaraj Samuel, the eldest son of Mr S.Samuel of Bethany House, S.V.Karai urging him to rebuild the church. Allegorically, the mantle fell on God’s Elisha. Bible tradition reveals how the evil one had obstructed and thwarted every rebuilding venture. The rebuilding of the church required much spiritual and financial strength.
Before the rebuilding initiative, a local church committee was formed along with the previous committee members. Mr Dharmaraj Samuel graciously accepted to head the local church committee which was ordained and blessed by Major Muthuraj, Divisional Commander, Tenkasi Division in the presence of Capt. Jeya Prakash on Sunday 6 May 2001 – (Copy of the circular enclosed).
The S.A. Church, S.V. Karai was completed and rededicated to the Lord on 25 July 2003 under the hands of Territorial commander Dr. Col. P. Yohannan.
Many Christian churches and organizations will agree that building the church is not only tough but an impossible and risky job to undertake in these modern times – ‘when the love of many has waxed cold’ - . The S.A.church’s local committee pioneered its way through the Government Offices and legal obstacles all the while facing many spiritual and financial difficulties.
PRAISE BE TO GOD! Today, the S.A.Church, S.V.Karai points its praying hands heavenward towards the cross. It is a proud reminder how God works His miracles in mysterious ways!
The evil one knows that any rebuilded church has the potential to beat its dark forces forever as it would shine as harbinger of Christian unity and brotherhood. And the evil one must make its presence known and as a preying lion is more dangerous than a roaring one he used the old ploy of creating a notion of false unity and heaped false accusations against the faithful rebuilders of the church.

Local Salvation Army Church, S.V. Karai in Trouble
A Salvation Army Church in S.V.Karai, Tamilnadu South Eastern Region seems to be in trouble.
Check out Dr L, International Secretary, Salvation Army International. The Divisional Commander and Maj. Arul Stephen attached to the church need to be questioned why they have not been a source to uphold christian unity and brotherhood.
With the approaching Christmas season the Territorial commander, South Eastern Zone, HQ Terunelvelli who is on some bussiness in UK at the Salvation Army Secretrait should take up these matters very urgently for the glory of God.
